In June, David, Robin and Charlotte and a team of volunteers headed off to the Tongole Foundation in Malawi for 14 days to help renovate another school for local children.
They took with them supplies of stationery, footballs, netballs, shoes and items of clothing, all kindly donated by friends and supporters of the Tongole Foundation.
There was a lot of work for the volunteers but the team were allowed some time off to take part in games with the children and to enjoy the spectacular location and its wildlife.
A grand total of £37,802.25 was raised, exceeding the original target, which meant that the volunteers were able to complete work on four classrooms and a teacher’s house.
