Connor joined the adviser team at Burfields House in 2018. He was appointed Director in 2026 and is working towards achieving Chartered Financial Planner status. He plans to become a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute in the near future.
Connor spent his early career as a professional footballer at several clubs such as Gillingham FC, Crawley Town FC, Luton Town FC, Leyton Orient FC and Dover Athletic FC, acquiring over 300 appearances. At the age of 25, he decided to make a change and focus on his career away from the football pitch. He continued to play at a semi-professional level while he enrolled on an intensive six-month training programme through the St. James's Place Financial Adviser Academy to gain the qualifications to become a financial adviser.
Although no longer playing football, except for the occasional five-a-side charity match, his career as a professional athlete has given him a range of skills and personal values which are equally relevant to his role as a financial planner. Honesty, integrity, and his highly committed work ethic are qualities that influence and underpin everything he does.
Connor's emphasis is on building and maintaining long-term relationships with his clients and to provide them with a source of trusted advice as their financial needs evolve over the years. He offers a bespoke and high-level personal service, taking time to understand people's needs and future aspirations before offering advice. It is about understanding clients’ needs and concerns and working together over the lifetime of the partnership to find solutions.
